'Colonial Caranavi' coffee is grown by small native farmers also known as colonials. The land on which the coffee beans grow is steep, with elevations rising to 5800 feet. These typica and bourbon coffee beans are cultivated in the Bolivian tropics just below a great mahogany forest. The farmers work very hard to improve their organic farming habits and value of their coffee. They have erected raised terraces for drying, starting their own nurseries, and provide coffee technicians with further organic agricultural training.
